Redact and Xpurge both keep your posts on your own device. They differ on price and hassle. Redact is a separate app you install and sign in to, and its free version only reaches the last 30 days. Xpurge is an extension in the browser you already use, its free version works on posts of any age, and a year of Pro costs less than half what Redact Premium does.

Where Redact goes further
Redact covers more than 35 platforms, deletes direct messages, runs on your phone, and can repeat deletions on a schedule. If you want every social account cleaned from one app, that breadth is worth paying for. If X is the one you care about, Redact Premium costs more than twice as much for platforms you won't use.
Both tools are held to X's rate limits. Xpurge works in a tab you can watch, which has to stay visible while it runs, and it paces itself like a person because X restricts accounts that delete faster than that.
