What you are subscribing to

Xpurge is a browser extension. The free version is free to use. Pro is a subscription: it removes the daily limit and lets you import archives and download records for as long as the subscription is active.

You choose how often you are billed: weekly at 4 USD, monthly at 6 USD, or yearly at 40 USD. The three differ only in billing frequency; they are the same Pro.

A licence is for one browser at a time. Before reinstalling or changing computers, remove the licence in the extension so you can activate it again. If you cannot do that, contact us and we will free it for you.

Renewal and cancellation

Your subscription renews automatically at the price and frequency you chose, and keeps renewing until you cancel it. Dodo Payments charges the payment method you subscribed with and emails you a receipt each time.

You can cancel at any time and without asking us, from the billing portal. Sign in with the email address you subscribed with and cancel there. You may also write to xiao@houzi.io. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

Cancelling stops future charges. You keep Pro for the rest of the period you have already paid for, and your licence key stops working when that period ends. Nothing you have already removed from X is affected, and your filters, records and settings stay on your computer.

If a renewal payment fails, Dodo Payments may retry it. Your licence key can be temporarily disabled while a payment is outstanding, and works again once it succeeds.

If the price changes, the change applies to renewals after we have told you, never to a period you have already paid for.

Who you are subscribing through

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record. They are the seller for the transaction, they handle tax and renewals, and their terms apply to the payment itself. Your licence key is emailed to you by Dodo Payments as soon as the first payment completes and is also available in their customer portal.

Deleting is permanent

Xpurge deletes content from your X account, and that cannot be undone. X does not offer a way to restore a deleted post, and neither do we. The record Xpurge saves is a copy of the text and details for your own reference; it cannot put anything back on X.

You are responsible for what you choose to delete. Review the summary of what your settings will remove and try a test run before you start. A test run deletes nothing.

Refunds

If Xpurge does not work for you, write to xiao@houzi.io within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it and cancel the subscription. Because deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed, a refund returns your money; it does not restore anything that was removed.

A refunded licence stops working. Keys are checked periodically, so access ends at the next check rather than instantly.

What we do not promise

Xpurge works by driving the X interface, which means it depends on how X's pages are built. X can change that at any time and break the extension without warning. We fix breakages as quickly as we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.

X also limits how quickly an account can delete things, and may throttle or restrict an account that deletes in bulk. Xpurge paces itself to stay within reasonable limits and stops when it detects throttling, but how X treats your account is X's decision, not ours.

The extension is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Xpurge is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Acceptable use

Use Xpurge only on an account you own or are authorised to manage. Do not use it to interfere with anyone else's account, to evade a legal obligation to retain records, or to destroy evidence.

Xpurge is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to X Corp. X and the X logo are trademarks of their owner.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. A change takes effect for you at your next renewal, and never alters a period you have already paid for.
