Managing or cancelling Pro

Open the billing portal and enter the email address you subscribed with. Dodo Payments will email you a sign-in link. From there you can cancel, change your payment method and read your licence key again. Cancelling keeps Pro until the period you have already paid for runs out.

Common problems

Nothing happens when I press Start

Xpurge needs an x.com tab open and signed in, and that tab has to stay on screen. Chrome stops loading pages in a background tab, so X stops producing posts to work through. Put X in its own window and leave it visible.

It stopped partway through

X slows down accounts that delete quickly. Xpurge notices, waits and carries on, but if X keeps refusing it stops rather than pushing through. Leave it an hour and start again. The activity log in Settings records what happened.

My licence key will not activate

A key works on one browser at a time. If you have reinstalled or changed computers, remove the licence in the extension first to free the slot. If you cannot get to the old browser, write to us and we will free it.

I cancelled but Xpurge still shows Pro

Xpurge checks your key about twice a day rather than on every action, so a cancellation can take a few hours to show. Press Check now in the Licence panel to settle it immediately.

I deleted something I wanted to keep

Deleting on X is permanent and nothing can put a post back. If backups were on, Xpurge saved a copy of the text on your computer: open Settings, then Your records, and download them. That is a record, not a way to restore the post.

Reporting a bug

Include your browser and version, what your filters were set to, and anything the activity log says. Settings, then Your records, then Download activity log gives you a file you can attach. It contains excerpts of posts Xpurge removed, so read it before sending if that matters to you.
